Surrounded by the Sublime

So do you think leaving me alone out here is some kind of punishment? My dear, it is bliss! I was alone in your presence far too long, numbed by your cold blanket of rejection. That was punishment like no other. And now that I have taken my leave, I am finally free ... still alone, yet immersed in the passions that you refused to
acknowledge. Surrounded by the sublime, the splendor that we should have shared if only you had walked there with me. I'll stroll the shoreline searching for the purest of
souls ... the one who will know me without a spoken word.
I'll suffer no more. I will only love and be loved, because I am truly free.
