I had met this same heron a few days before on the sand bar. I was following him around, trying to capture the Great White taking off majestically. I didn't quite get the shot I wanted, but this morning he saw me out of the corner of his eye, gave me a pose, then went back to fishing the tidal pool for a shrimp breakfast.
I really enjoy this shot. Though, the image of the bird stands out a bit too much because of its reflection. Perhaps lowering the opacity of the reflection so it blends into the water and gives it a bit more of a natural feel. Still though, you are correct when you stated you are located in a beautiful area
I think you're right about the reflection ... thanks.
that was what make it stand out immediately. I know I've done that on many pieces. Worked on it too long at one time to where I didn't notice the little adjustments that needed correction. It's still a magnificent shot, but the correction with make it even greater.
The bird really sticks out. It makes it really pretty.
Thank you .... it's hard to take a bad photo around here ... I'm lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty! ~RM~
Love the colors, amazing shot!
he makes for a lovely reflection, anyway!
Uhh! The heron's blue color is great!
It's a beautiful and graceful animal.
that heron looks like its been superimposed onto the photo.
You are correct. Both images were taken in the same pond during the same shoot, but I didn't like the background he was in front of soooo .... I changed it.
Wonderful shot, I love the reflection and colours.
